Dr Kitty Jackson is a Consultant in Palliative Medicine working in South Tees. Kitty has a wealth of experience in managing patients with complex symptoms who are palliative or towards the end of their lives. She is also an Honorary Research Fellow at the Wolfson Palliative Care Research Centre at Hull York Medical School where she has been involved in research looking at how we implement improvements in delirium care in the hospice environment.
This session will focus on what we can do to minimise delirium in palliative patients, how we can recognise it and what we can do to help. Delirium isn't a problem exclusive to palliative and end of life care, however, this session will specifically focus on tips and techniques which will help patients with delirium in the context of advanced disease, including those at end of life, and their families.
