BLOOD TRANSFUSION IN PRECEPTORSHIP - 11-07-2023 08.30 - 09.30 IHLT, STRIVE, JCUH

Blood transfusion training is a mandatory requirement within South Tees NHS Foundation Trust. All staff involved in the blood transfusion of patients must attend one of these sessions on an annual basis.

Download the attached policy and read prior to attendance at the session.

This session is aimed at Preceptees or people who are new to the organisation.  In the larger venues, such as the IHLT and the DKLT, other staff are more than welcome to attend (this session is appropriate for those wishing to update their skills and will be evidence for your mandatory training requirement).

Registration

Ensure that the information you complete on the booking form is correct as all sessions are confirmed by email (please do not use Hotmail accounts).

Evidence for your Preceptorship pack or revalidation

Please ensure you sign the register at the end of any sessions you attend so this can be validated for your preceptorship pack / revalidation.

There are also sessions available this day for Continence, Nasogastric Skills, Frailty and Discharge Planning.  If you wish to attend for all or part of the day(s), you must book onto each individual session as available on the booking system.
