Course summary

This course is aimed for health care assistants, health care support workers, therapy assistants, allied health support workers, care coordinators or volunteers who want to develop their knowledge of cancer care. It is suitable for people who are new to cancer roles, those who aspire to work in cancer roles or those who don’t work specifically in cancer but who care for cancer patients in their wards or departments at different parts of their cancer pathway.

06-06-2024 - Day 1 – Cancer pathways, diagnosis, investigations, staging - ROOM 3, STRIVE, FHN

11-06-2024 - Day 2 – Patients experience of cancer - ROOM 3, STRIVE, FHN

19-06-2024-Day 3 - Cancer treatments and supporting patients living with cancer ROOM 1, STRIVE, FHN

27-06-2024-Day 4 - Supporting patients with advanced cancer/palliative care needs ROOM 3, STRIVE, FHN
