These sessions will be facilitated by guest speakers, providing education on current practice in their area of speciality. These sessions will help extend your knowledge in specific areas. They will allow you to have access to specialist staff with background/interest in the topic discussed and will also create a forum to share practice and ideas to improve skill set. Mary Sweeting is a Nurse Consultant in Heart Failure working in South Tees Trust. Mary works in the acute care setting and community care setting where she works to improve care and collaborations for patients with heart failure and their families. Mary will address what heart failure is, and will focus on use of medication, advanced heart failure and how this affects patients towards the end of their lives. She will also look at tips for enabling patients to have the best quality of life and how we address what matters the most to patients moving towards the last weeks and days of life.
